The fox love continues at (100-1)d, because foxes are cool, and they will replace owls as this summer’s fashion and fun “thing.” You know this is true, because I posted on Merida’s coronation make-over a week before HuffPost did. Trust me, this is nothing like the mushroom thing my mother-in-law told me was going around.
My third favorite Disney foxes are Tod and Vixie, from Fox and Hound, and my second are the lovey Lady Marian and her beau, archer scoundrel and infamous do-gooder Robin Hood. Their love theme is one of the overlooked treasures of the Disney-soundtrack-of-my-life. Appropriately, the singer, Nancy Adams, was married to one of the songwriters, Floyd Huddleston, and the recording carries her gentle emotion well. Then, for some reason, it lost the Academy Award to over-the-top “The Way We Were.” (We love Barbra, but that is not even one of her best.)
Music lovers and dipsters carry on the tradition, so here’s “Love” with a ukele. Because.
